Mobile database location setup

You use the Mobile Database Location Setup window to establish the order of precedence that PI Manual Logger should use to locate a mobile database (PimlMobile.sdf) when data is being transferred between PI Manual Logger and PI Manual Logger Mobile 2012 running on a cradled device or on a mobile PC.

By default, PI Manual Logger checks for a cradled handheld device when you first open the Device Data Transfer Console window. This is because Load from mobile device is the first entry in the window.

If PI Manual Logger does not find a handheld device, you can specify an alternative location so that you can customize how PI Manual Logger PC behaves in future when it attempts to synchronize. A window prompts you to:

• Check for connected Windows Mobile device

• Provide a location

• Check for a database file at file location
