Change time zone settings

By default, AVEVA PI Vision uses the time zone of the client machine to display information.

To override the client time zone and set every user browsing to the AVEVA PI Vision website to use the same time zone, follow this procedure.

Note: To use a URL parameter to set the time zone for a display, so that users see data in the time zone you specify, see Set the time zone for a display.

1. In Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, connect to the Microsoft SQL Server that contains your AVEVA PI Vision database.

2. Expand Databases, select your AVEVA PI Vision database, and expand Tables.

   

3. Find and right-click dbo.Settings table and click Edit Top 200 Rows.

4. In the Value field, set OverrideTimeZone to one of the time zone IDs listed in System time zone IDs. For example, to set the AVEVA PI Vision time zone to Pacific Standard Time for all users, you would add Pacific Standard Time to the dbo.Settings table.
