Allow access to each PI Data Archive server from PI Vision

Use the AVEVA PI Vision Administration website to allow access to each Data Archive server that your users are working with.

Note: Only servers that are in the Known Servers Table are shown in the list of available servers.

1. In your web browser, navigate to the AVEVA PI Vision Administration website.

   By default, this site is located at: https://webServer/PIVision/Admin where webServer is the name of the AVEVA PI Vision web server.

2. Verify that the Data Archive servers you wish to allow access to have been added to the registered servers list per Add a PI Data Archive server or a PI AF server to the registered servers list.

3. On the Overview page, select Manage Configuration next to the Data Servers Allowed list.

   Or select Configuration in the navigation tree and then select the Data Servers tab.

   

4. To add a Data Archive server, select the Allowed check box next to that server.

   Note: The Test Connection button tests whether you can connect to the appropriate Data Archive server using the PIVisionService account. This is the identity used by the AVEVA PI Vision application pools.

5. After you finish making changes, select Save to update the AVEVA PI Vision application server with your selections.
