AVEVA™ PI Vision™

Embedded displays

You can embed an AVEVA PI Vision display into an existing web page by using an <iframe> element and setting its src attribute to the URL of an AVEVA PI Vision display page. If the AVEVA PI Vision website and the hosting website have different origins, security settings prevent the browsers from loading the AVEVA PI Vision display. A site's origin is defined as the combination of protocol (for example, HTTP or HTTPS), domain name (for example, 123.com), and port number (for example, :80).

Note: If you do not specify a port, the default values are 80 for http and 443 for https.

To share AVEVA PI Vision displays across origins, the AVEVA PI Vision web server must explicitly identify the origins that can render displays. To configure this for AVEVA PI Vision, refer to How can you embed a PI Vision display into another website? on the Customer Support Portal.
