Share an ad hoc trend

You can share an ad hoc trend with other PI VIsion users in your organization by sending a URL. There are two options for sharing an ad hoc trend URL:

Share Ad Hoc Workspace - The shared URL opens an Ad Hoc Workspace that contains all the traces in the ad hoc trend, the current ad hoc trend time range, and the order of the traces.

If you selected a custom Scale Type, Scale Range, or Traces option (Line, Data markers, or Scatter plot), those settings are not retained when the URL is opened.

Share Ad Hoc Display - The shared URL opens a new editable display that contains all traces in the ad hoc trend, the current ad hoc trend time range, the order of the traces, and the specified single- or multi-scale state of the original ad hoc trend.

If you selected a custom Scale Range or Traces option (Line, Data markers, or Scatter plot), those settings are not retained when the URL is opened.

Follow the steps below to copy a shareable URL using one of the options described above.

1. Select Share Ad Hoc Workspace .

   The Share Ad Hoc Workspace and Share Ad Hoc Display fields are filled with URLs.

2. Select Copy next to the option that you want to use, depending on if you want the URL to open an Ad Hoc Workspace or a new display.

   The URL is copied to your clipboard, allowing you to paste it somewhere in order to share it with other users.
