Overview
AVEVA PI Vision 2024 (version 3.10.0.0) is a web server-based product that allows you to visualize, assess, and monitor PI System data using any modern web browser.
New features and enhancements
Display editing and process monitoring
-
Font and font sizing
You can set the font and font size on all PI Vision symbols including the trend, table, and gauge symbols.
-
Bulk edit symbols
You can select multiple symbols and edit them at the same time.
-
Time series table
A new time series table symbol allows you to view timestamps and recorded values from the PI System.
-
Multi-state capability for the table symbol
On the existing table symbol, you can apply multi-stating to a particular row or the entire table so that cells in the table are color coded based on their current values.
-
Rich-text editor for text symbol
The text symbol now supports font styling and word wrap.
-
Preserved zoom levels
For each user, displays open at the same zoom level and positioning that was last used from the same browser and machine.
Home page and display/folder management
-
Sort displays
You can choose to view the list of displays ordered by name, owner, last accessed date, or last modified date.
-
Tabular view
You can switch between a thumbnail view and a tabular view for the displays that are listed on the homepage.
-
Folder related URLs
You can access folders directly via URL rather than navigating through the folder hierarchy.
-
Move PI Vision folders
You can move entire folders and their contents together to a new parent folder.
-
Permissions model
There are more permission options for managing folders and displays, including read, write, manage, and administrator.
-
Lock and inherit permissions
You can lock permissions on all displays and folders under a parent folder, so that their permissions remain identical to the parent folder’s permissions. Alternatively, for a display or child folder, you can inherit the parent folder permissions while maintaining the ability to modify those inherited permissions.
Administrator
-
View connected users
Administrators can view active display sessions, with details including the display ID and name, user ID, and metrics on how long it takes to load the display (first, latest, min, max, avg).
-
Performance improvements
Improved performance of Analysis, StringBuilder, and UriBuilder attributes.
