Add a symbol to a display

You can create a symbol to visualize data in a display.

1. In the Assets pane, find the data that you want to visualize in the symbol.

   See Search for data.

2. Choose a symbol type in the symbol gallery.

   

   You can view data as a trend, value, vertical gauge, horizontal gauge, radial gauge, table, asset comparison table, time series table, bar chart, or XY plot. By default, the trend symbol type is selected.

3. Drag data items from the search results in the Assets or Attributes panes onto the display.

   AVEVA PI Vision inserts the selected symbol on the display and visualizes the chosen data items in that symbol
