The AVEVA PI Vision product documentation is translated into the languages supported in the AVEVA PI Vision application. Complete the following steps to make the translated documentation available to users through the help icon. AVEVA PI Vision selects the language of the documentation based on the language setting in the browser. If the translated documentation is not available, the English version is used.

  1. Download the AVEVA PI Vision User Guide in each language needed from the AVEVA Support portal or https://docs.aveva.com/.

  2. Place each PDF in the appropriate language folder on the server where AVEVA PI Vision is installed.

    • German: C:\Program Files\PIPC\PIVision\Help\de

    • English: C:\Program Files\PIPC\PIVision\Help\en

    • Spanish: C:\Program Files\PIPC\PIVision\Help\es

    • French: C:\Program Files\PIPC\PIVision\Help\fr

    • Japanese: C:\Program Files\PIPC\PIVision\Help\ja

    • Korean: C:\Program Files\PIPC\PIVision\Help\ko

    • Polish: C:\Program Files\PIPC\PIVision\Help\pl

    • Portuguese: C:\Program Files\PIPC\PIVision\Help\pt

    • Russian: C:\Program Files\PIPC\PIVision\Help\ru

    • Ukrainian: C:\Program Files\PIPC\PIVision\Help\uk

    • Chinese: C:\Program Files\PIPC\PIVision\Help\zh

Note: If you installed to a location other than the default location of C:\Program Files\PIPC, use the root location where AVEVA PI Vision is installed. The folder names match the language codes used at the end of the file names. For example, the Japanese file is AVEVA PI Vision 20xx User Guide-JA.pdf and should be placed in the ja folder.

  3. Rename each PDF to PI Vision User Guide.pdf.

Note: You must rename each PDF file for AVEVA PI Vision to be able to locate it.
