Format a collection

Use the Format Collection pane to customize the collection's appearance and layout.

Right-click the symbol collection and click Format Collection to open the Format Collection pane.

You can customize the Style of the collection by setting the following:

Fill
Choose the background color for the collection canvas.

Customize the border.
-
Border: Choose the color of the border.

Weight: Choose the thickness of the border.

Style: Choose the style of the border, which can be a line, dots, dashes of various lengths, as well as combinations of dashes and dots.

You can customize the Layout of the collection by setting the following:

Wrapping: Select Left to right to arrange the symbols horizontally relative to the left border. Select Top to bottom to arrange the symbols vertically relative to the top border.
Note: Resize the collection canvas so it is large enough to contain your desired wrapping.

Inner Padding: Enter the number of pixels between each asset in the collection.

Outer Padding: Enter the number of pixels between the asset and the collection's border.

For No search results, you can enter custom text that appears if the collection has filter criteria that does not return any results. The text that you enter can help your users understand what it means when the collection is empty. For example, if you are working with a collection that only shows temperature sensors that are in an alarm state, the text could say "No temperature sensors are currently in alarm." The options are:
Default message - "No items match the collection criteria" appears when the collection is empty.
Custom message - Allows you to enter the text that appears when the collection is empty.
No message - No text appears on the screen when the collection is empty.
