A private display is a display where no permissions were granted to any PI AF identities, so that it is generally intended to be used only by the user who created it.
As you are looking at available displays on the home page, within a folder, or in the Unorganized area, you can choose to show private displays that were created by other users if you are a PI Vision administrator or you are granted the Administrator permission on the folder where the private display is stored.
If you are a PI Vision administrator, you can view all private displays. If you are not a PI Vision administrator, you can view only the private displays that are stored in folders for which you are granted the Administrator permission. If you are not a PI Vision administrator and you are not granted the Administrator permission on any folders, you cannot view any private displays and the private displays icon does not appear.
To show private displays, select the private displays icon
along the top of the home page. To hide private displays, select the icon again.
You can hover over the icon to open a tool tip that states whether you are currently
showing private displays.
Note: When showing private displays, if you are filtering the displays in any way such as by viewing a group of displays or a folder, only the private displays that meet your filter criteria are shown.
