Set timebar defaults

You can set the default options for the timebar on all displays in your AVEVA PI Vision site. Users can select from these default values when they view an AVEVA PI Vision display. When you set the default durations, keep in mind that some time units are variable. For example, if you set a duration as 1 month(s), the number of days shown on the display varies depending on the current month. If it is April, the 1 month(s) duration converts to 30 days; however, if it is May, the 1 month(s) duration converts to 31 days.

timebar defaults are applied to both new and existing displays.

1. Browse to the AVEVA PI Vision Administration website.

2. In the menu, select Display Defaults.

3. Select the timebar tab.

4. For each duration, select the duration on the timebar to edit, and then enter a number for the duration and select the time unit from the dropdown list.

   Note: timebar durations are converted to the language setting of the browser.

5. When you have finished, select Save.

The updated defaults are loaded when AVEVA PI Vision is opened in a browser and when an open browser is refreshed.
