Create stream

Using the portal is the simplest method of adding a stream to a Stream storage instance.
Prerequisites
To add a stream, you must have a Stream storage service instance provisioned and at least one type created to base the stream upon.
To create a stream

In the navigation rail, select Data stores.

From the Change data store dropdown, verify that the data store instance containing the resources and data you want to work with is selected.

Select the Streams card.

Select Create stream.

In ID, enter a unique identifier for the stream.

(Optional) In Name, enter A human-readable name for the stream.

(Optional) In Description, enter information about what the stream is used for.

From the Type drop-down list, select a stream type to base the stream on.

(Optional) Add tags and metadata to the stream to assist with searching and organization.

Select Create.
The stream is added to the Stream storage instance. You can begin writing data to the stream using the data ingress method of your choice.
