UI conventions

This topic lists the UI conventions used in CONNECT.

Navigation rail

The navigation rail is a persistent menu that you can use to navigate to different pages on CONNECT.

Collapse or expand the rail by selecting the chevron . Items available for selection in the navigation rail are conditional based on the active user’s permissions.

App bar

The app bar is a persistent bar that you can use to access system notifications, user profile information, and help documentation.

App bar icon descriptions:

• Notifications : Displays notifications for the active user.

  

  • To dismiss the highlight border for all unread notifications, select Mark all as read .

  • To dismiss the highlight border for a single unread notification, select Mark as read .

  • To dismiss all notifications, select Clear all .

  • To dismiss a single notification, select More options and then select Clear.

  • To restore a read notification as unread, select More options and then select Mark as unread.

• Help : Opens this user documentation.

• Profile menu : Displays information about the active user and account. Use to Edit display name, Edit contact email, View account details, Sign out, or Switch to original experience.
