Shares

Shares create a connection between CONNECT and a third-party analytics platform. This allows CONNECT to send data compiled in a data view and organized in a virtual table to your third-party analytics platform.

Iceberg endpoints

If you are configuring a share with Snowflake or Delta Sharing, CONNECT will provide an Iceberg endpoint. This allows external platforms, such as Snowflake, to access shared data using the Apache Iceberg table format. Your CONNECT data is shared in a read-only format with your external platform's native catalog.

Delta endpoints

If you are configuring a share with Delta Sharing, CONNECT will provide a delta endpoint. This can be used with a compatible client, such as Power BI, to provide read-only access to your virtual table data.

Token rotation

Token rotation replaces the bearer token used by an existing share. You can rotate a token when the current token is close to expiring, is no longer trusted, or must be changed to satisfy your organization’s credential policy.
