View data connections

The Data connections page lists the data connections added to your account in a table. Select a data connection in the table to display its details in the side sheet. From this page, you can browse or manage data connections, review device status, manage client secrets, and copy connection-related URLs.

View a data connection to review its details, including basic information about the connection, the device status, and the client secret status.

To view data connection details

  1. In the navigation rail, select Data connections.

  2. Select the tab for the type of data connection.

    • Systems - includes adapters, Edge Data Store, and CONNECT flows

    • Data Pipeline - Engineering Data service instances

    • Agents - includes PI to CONNECT Agent and AVEVA Historian Agent

    • PI Vision to CONNECT

  3. Select a connection to view more details in the side sheet.

Systems side sheet fields

  • Connection type: The connection type.

  • Site: The site or staging area for the connection's data.

  • Last modified: The date the connection was modified.

  • Token endpoint URL: The URL that the device or application uses to verify the authentication token.

  • OMF ingress URL: The URL that the device or application uses to send data.

  • Client secrets: A list of the client secrets the connection uses and their current status. Also includes a link to manage the client secrets for the connection.

  • Data storage: A list of links to the data storage the connection uses.

Data Pipeline side sheet fields

  • Service status: The current health of the service.

  • Dashboard site: A link to a more detailed dashboard about the connection.

  • Data storage: A list of links to the data storage the connection uses.

Agents side sheet fields

  • Agent hostname: The agent hostname.

  • Connection type: The connection type.

  • Site: The site for the connection.

  • Last modified: The date the connection was modified.

  • Agent information: Includes agent service instance, agent status, and agent version.

  • Client secrets: A list of the client secrets the connection uses and their current status. Also includes a link to manage the client secrets for the connection.

  • Data sources: A list of data sources to which the agent connects.

  • Data storage: A list of links to the data storage the connection uses.

Tips

  • In the data table, use the Filter by keyword field to find a specific data connection.

  • In the side sheet, select Copy copy icon to copy a field value to your clipboard.
