Introduction to sites

Sites are the primary mechanism for managing and organizing your account in CONNECT. Your account is typically organized into one or more sites. Each site represents a physical or operational location, such as a plant, factory, or other facility, and provides a boundary for services, data, and access within that location.

When you create a site, CONNECT automatically provisions required services and capabilities. In addition, you can configure data connections and ingestion pipelines at the site level, meaning your operational data is aligned with a real-world context.

All Intellavi sites are created in the EU region. As a result, they share a single data store while maintaining separate security boundaries through site-level role assignments.
