Follow these instructions to create a service or application instance.
-
In the navigation rail, select Account. Then select Services & applications.
-
Select a folder.
If no folder exists, you must Create folders.
-
Select Create instance.
-
Confirm your folder selection and select Next.
You can select a different folder if necessary.
-
Select a service, then select Next.
-
The Create new service instance dialog indicates that additional set up of the service is needed. Select Continue.
-
Enter initial setup information for the service instance. Complete the settings:
-
Name: Human-readable name of the service instance.
-
Geography: Location where the service instance is deployed.
Note: Geographies available for deployment may be limited by Manage geographies settings.
-
-
(Conditional) If the service or application requires dependencies, add them.
-
If the service requires a Streams Store instance, select the instance that contains the relevant data from Add Streams Store dependency. New service instances must be geographically co-located with their dependency. Therefore, the Streams Store instances available for selection are filtered based on the selected geography.
-
If the service requires a Types Store instance, select the instance that contains the relevant data from Add Types Store dependency.
-
If the service requires an Entities Store instance, select the instance that contains the relevant data from Add Entities Store dependency.
-
Type in or select an optional connection in the desired box.
-
-
Select Create <service/application>.
The service instance begins deploying and you are redirected to the Service & applications page. Monitor the deployment by watching the Deployment status for the instance. When the status changes to Active, you can use the service.
