The Explore page provides a centralized discovery experience for your industrial data. Through relationship-driven navigation and rich contextual awareness, you can navigate between assets, streams, events, documents, visualizations, and processes.

Relationship-driven views including an asset hierarchy, list, map, 3D model, and relationships knowledge graph allow you to navigate between assets, streams, events, documents, visualizations, and processes while keeping context clear.

The Explore page provides several views for exploring your data. Select a view from the toolbar at the top of the page.

List view

The List view is the default view. Select the tab for Entities, Streams, or Types.

Use the search field or apply filters to applicable columns to narrow the results.

Select an item's name to select it and clear any selected checkboxes for other items.

Hierarchy view

Select the Show hierarchy button to view and navigate your entities in a hierarchy.

Note: The hierarchy is managed through the API. Modifying it requires write access to the Knowledge Graph. See Knowledge Graph in the CONNECT developer documentation section for details.

Relationships view

The relationships panel shows an interactive knowledge graph of the relationships between connected entities, streams, and types. Select an entity or stream to explore upstream and downstream connections, clearly see dependencies, and understand how information is linked across your environment.

To open the relationships panel, select an entity, type, or stream, then select Relationships.

To view the relationships of an entity, stream, or type:

  1. In the relationships panel, select the menu icon to the right of the entity's name.

  2. Select the class of related items to show, and how to display them:

    • View in list: View the related items in the right-hand panel.

Select a single item to show it on the relationships panel.

To show multiple items from the list on the relationships panel, select them, then select Actions, then select Show on relationships.

This option is not available for Type relationships or Entities of type.

    • Expand all: Show all the related items in this category on the relationship panel.

    • Collapse all: Collapse all the related items in this category on the relationship panel.

  3. Select an item in the relationships panel to view its info.
