Understand the federation workflow

The process for CONNECT to delegate authentication requires actions from both the account owner and AVEVA. We recommend you utilize the following workflow to enable federation as seamlessly as possible:

1. Read and understand the documentation in this section.

2. Nominate the relevant subject matter experts in your organization.

3. Gather the required details from your chosen authentication provider.

   Note: If you use SAML for authentication, AVEVA also provide you with additional configuration details at this stage.

4. Submit the details to AVEVA in a secure way.

5. AVEVA perform internal configuration of your CONNECT account.

6. Verify and test the connections.

7. Communicate the change to your users.
