AVEVA Cloud Storage is AVEVA’s common storage service for all AVEVA software. It is an optional service available to the users of CONNECT. AVEVA products can be configured to use AVEVA Cloud Storage to store application-specific/service-specific files and information that can be used across regions/users/products and both on-premise and cloud. AVEVA Cloud Storage works behind the scenes to ensure the best possible user experience by ensuring seamless availability of data.
AVEVA Cloud Storage offers secure, file storage management in the cloud, including notification of file uploads and synchronization with local folders. All uploaded files are scanned for viruses first and the same are not available for download or notification/synchronization until they have been scanned successfully. AVEVA Cloud Storage supports files up to 20GB.
AVEVA Cloud Storage is accessible to users with the right access privileges from within the application/service only. Currently, there is no direct access to AVEVA Cloud Storage. Users can read and/or write to the store allocated to them based on the permissions given to them.
Note: During the synchronization of data, while downloading files from AVEVA Cloud Storage, sometimes a virus scan error is displayed for a file that could not be evaluated fully for viruses. This may not necessarily mean that the file is harmful. Such files are skipped during the synchronization process. Contact the owner of the file to procure the file.
