Provision and access to license entitlement

For the AVEVA Licensing System license family, the license file is automatically generated shortly after you submit the license request unless you are using the Order Approval Group (see below), typically within 20 seconds to 2 minutes. The license can be downloaded from the Orders page by selecting the Download License icon. The download option is only available for the latest order for a given server. After selecting Download License, the license file is downloaded to your computer in .xml format and can be installed on the license server.

Note: If it takes longer than two minutes, please be patient. You will be able to cancel the license request and reclaim your credits after one hour.

If an Order Approval Group is configured in CALM settings, the order must be Approved or Refused by a member of the order approval group. Once the order is approved, the license is charged for and generated. If the order is refused or canceled, no charge is made and no licence is issued.

AELS licenses

For AELS licenses, these are typically generated in two to ten minutes.

Other license families

If you have placed a request for other license families, you will receive an email in one to three working days advising you to Download the license file.
