The Flex credits > Overview page displays an overview of your credits, including your credits consumption, credits balance and a credits forecast for your account.
The page displays the available credits balance for your account for the Cloud, On-premise and Universal hosting types, if applicable.
The hosting types are to be understood in the following manner:
-
Cloud: Number of credits available for cloud services
-
On-premise: Number of credits available for on-premise applications
-
Universal: Number of credits available for both cloud and on-premise applications
Note: This credits balance and other information on the Credits overview page is as on the previous day of the day on which it is being viewed. For example, if you are viewing this page on 1-Jan-2022, the information on this page is as on 31-Dec-2021. Further, the time period shown on the page is in UTC and is adjusted for the time zone set on your credits agreement. The same time zone (adjusted UTC) is used when the Print and Export options are used. However, the local time zone of your browser is used when you are selecting a time period for the dashboard or when choosing a custom date range.
CONNECT enables you to view a graphical representation of your credits consumption and the credits balance. You can view the following chart types in the graphical representation:
-
Balance Burndown: Displays a burndown chart of how the credits have been consumed in the selected time period. To see the balance for a specific date, point to the specific data point on the chart. To filter by a hosting type, use the Key area to on the chart to turn on/off a particular hosting type.
-
Burndown Forecast: Provides an estimated forecast of the credit usage over the duration of the credit agreement. The chart shows the actual burndown, a forecasted burndown, and an ideal burndown.
The Burndown Forecast algorithm works by calculating the 'per day' credits expenditure and extrapolating the same to the future. The 'per-day' credit expenditure is plotted on the chart for each day into the future, and a rough estimate of when the customer will run out of credits (if they continue to spend at their current rate) or if they will still have credits left at the end of their contract is arrived at.
The chart also plots an 'ideal spend' line (i.e reaching zero credits exactly at the end of the contract) which is basically the amount of credits allocated to the customer divided by the number of days in the contract.
The forecast chart always re-adjusts itself to take account of any additional topup credits that are added during the lifetime of the contract.
You can point to a specific data point to view the details for the data point. To filter by a particular burndown type, use the Key area on the chart to turn on/off a particular burndown type.
-
Product Usage: Provides a breakdown of how the credits have been consumed. The chart shows the credits expended, with each bar color-coded to show the products used for that time period. Point to a specific data point to view the details for the data point.
You can view the Balance Burndown and Product Usage charts for the following time periods:
