Note: You must be an Account Administrator to activate a service and your organization must have subscribed to a service before it can be activated.
Activating a service enables your end users with the required access privileges to use the service. Services can be enabled for the required folders and for the required roles. For more information about folders, see Folder management, and for more information about roles, see User management.
To activate a service:
-
From the site navigation menu, select Folder management.
-
Select the folder for which you want to activate the service (or create a folder if required; see Before you create a folder for the points to keep in mind while creating a folder).
-
Locate the service you want to activate.
-
Slide the switch to the On position to activate the service. The service is activated.
Important: Users, including Account Administrators, must be assigned corresponding service-specific roles to enable them to use a service. For more information about service-specific roles and how to manage them, see Manage a service.
An active service consumes Flex credits according to the rate plan for the service. For more information about Flex credits, see Understand Flex credits.
Note: In some cases, the activation of a service is not instant and may need to carry out some manual steps to complete the provisioning. The time taken for activation depends on the complexity of the deployment and provisioning of the service, and varies from service to service. If there are any errors in the provisioning process, the details are displayed on the service card. After the activation of the service is successfully complete, the options to manage the service (Manage roles, Manage integrations, and so on) are available. In some cases, changes for specific users may require refreshing the webpage to view.
