AVEVA™ PI Server Installation and Configuration (PI Server 2024 R2)

Disable all explicit logins

In PI SMT you can use the Security Settings tool to disable all explicit logins.

  1. Under System Management Tools, select Security > Security Settings. The Security Settings tool opens.

  2. Under Collectives and Servers, select the server.

    You can change settings for PI Server running version 3.4.380 or later.

  3. Move the slider to the Explicit login disabled option.

  4. Click Save.

  5. Stop and restart PI Base Subsystem:

    1. Under System Management Tools, select Operation > PI Services.

    2. Right-click the PI Base Subsystem entry and choose Stop Service.

    3. After the subsystem stops, right-click on the PI Base Subsystem entry again and choose Start Service.
