The AVEVA Identity Manager is the provided identity service for AVEVA™ PI Server 2024 R2. If you plan to implement claims-based authentication using OpenID Connect (OIDC), you need to install and configure the AVEVA™ Identity Manager (AIM) and TLS certificates.

The AVEVA™ Platform Common Services (PCS) 8.2.1 for the PI System setup kit helps you quickly install AIM and all required dependencies. You can download the kit from the Customer Portal.

The Configurator utility, also included in the setup kit, helps you configure AIM and create or import the required TLS certificate.
