Record the Data Archive server names

The server name identifies your Data Archive within your PI Server deployment. If you are deploying your Data Archive as part of a collective, the server names identify each Data Archive within the collective. Each Data Archive must have a unique server name.

1. Choose a server name for your Data Archive.

   If you are not installing the Data Archive server within a collective, there will be only a single server name. If you are installing Data Archive as part of a collective, choose the name for the primary server in your collective.

2. Record the server name in your PI Server 2024 R2 installation worksheet.

   Note: This value will be required by the setup kit later in the Installation phase.

3. If you are deploying your Data Archive as part of a collective, choose a name for your secondary Data Archive server.

4. Record the server name for this secondary Data Archive in your PI Server 2024 R2 installation worksheet.

   Note: This value will be required by the setup kit later in the Installation phase.

5. Choose server names for any additional secondary server you are deploying in your collective.

6. Record all additional secondary server names in your PI Server 2024 R2 installation worksheet.
