Add the user account used to configure and administer the AVEVA Identity Manager to the aaAdministrators group. Members of the aaAdministrators group can host AVEVA services. You must add the user account to aaAdministrators before you can configure AVEVA Identity Manager and register devices.
-
Enter Computer Management in the taskbar search box, then press Enter.
The Computer Management dialog opens.
-
On the left pane, select System Tools, then select Local Users and Groups to open the Groups folder.
-
Double-click the aaAdministrators group to open the Properties dialog, then select Add.
The Select Users, Service Accounts or Groups dialog opens.
-
Add the user that will administer the AVEVA Identity Manager and install or upgrade the PI System to the aaAdministrators group, then save your changes.
For example, you could create the local user, ‘aaAdmin’ and then add it to the ‘aaAdminstrators’ group.
