The PIWorld identity represents the Everyone concept of Windows; it specifies the rights of non-explicit users or groups. All authenticated Data Archive users automatically get the access permissions defined for PIWorld (in addition to any other access permissions they have been granted).
Note: You can disable PIWorld. If you do that, then users no longer get PIWorld access along with their explicitly-granted access permissions. This can be risky however, especially for upgrades. You might be relying on PIWorld access in a number of places without knowing it. See Learn about disabling PIWorld.
By default, PIWorld is granted write access to PIMSGSS and read access to most Data Archive databases and objects. The PIWorld identity does not have access to the following tables: PIARCADMIN, PIARCDATA, PIBACKUP, PIReplication, PITuning, PIAFLINK, PIAUDIT, PIMAPPING, and PITRUST. You can change the access permissions granted PIWorld, but you cannot delete this identity. The PIWorld identity cannot be used in a mapping or a trust.
