Post-migration: Database creation with GO​.bat script

Important: To prevent issues with database check-in's, perform this post-migration task after a successful PI AF database migration to Azure SQL Database.

As a final step after migration, you must complete the following steps if you created the PI AF database in Azure SQL Database using the GO.bat script method.

1. Update the AFService.exe.config file to direct the PI AF Application Service to the new Azure SQL database and authentication mode. For instructions see Modify the AFService.exe.config file.

2. Restart any PI client applications that point to the AF server after modifying the connect string to reference the cloud-based Azure SQL database.

3. Enter afdiag /resetidentitycolumnseeds, then press Enter.

   The Identity column seeds are updated in the PI AF SQL Server tables.
