The PI Notifications screenshot feature allows you to create a notification rule that adds a screenshot (or a static image) of the data that triggered the notification. See Add a screenshot in notification email delivery format.

To use the screenshot feature, a list of trusted sites must be configured. This list allows system administrators to minimize the risk of security vulnerabilities from any potentially malicious websites. For more information on configuring this list, see Add a domain to the list of trusted sites.

Beginning with PI Notifications Service 2024 R2, Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime is required to add screenshots to notification emails. Updates and security patches for WebView2 Runtime can be done without upgrading the PI Notifications Service. For more information, see Install Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime for screenshots.

Note: If the Windows Network security policy "Restrict NTLM: Outgoing NTLM traffic to remote servers" is enabled, you must grant exceptions for any remote servers you want to access with NTLM authentication from PI Notifications Service.
