Test service downtime for high availability configurations

Test high availability configurations to determine whether PI Notifications Service fails over successfully within the cluster. For more information about high availability for notifications, see Install in a failover cluster.

1. Restart PI Notifications Service.

2. For one cluster, stop PI Notifications Service and verify that the cluster role fails over to another cluster.

3. Using the test element created for the procedure called Test email delivery, trigger more notification rules and determine whether notifications were sent successfully.
