Understand how to tighten security for Data Archive

This section discusses how you can improve the security on your Data Archive server.

The slider position of the Security Settings tool in PI SMT offers one measure as to the level of security around your Data Archive. Once you have upgraded to PI API 2016 for Windows Integrated Security, and migrated all clients to Windows or OIDC authentication and away from PI trusts, you can move your slider to the top level.
