Step 1: Configure distribution

Before creating a transactional publication, a Distributor that manages all replicated transactions needs to be set up. The Distributor can be configured on the same server as the Publisher (the local SQL Server that contains your PI AF database) or on a separate server (a remote Distributor).

Note: When specifying a root snapshot folder for a local Distributor, ensure that agents have sufficient read/write permissions to that folder.
