Review system requirements

Begin the planning process by reviewing the system requirement for Data Archive and ensuring that your server's operating system is compatible.

1. Review the System requirements for Data Archive 2024 R2. Download and review the PI Data Archive Release Notes at the Customer Portal.

2. Ensure your server operating system is compatible with the version of your Data Archive server.

3. Record the server operating system version in your PI Server 2024 R2 installation worksheet.

   Note: This will help you keep track of each server, especially if there are multiple Data Archive servers deployed as a collective.

4. If you are installing the PI to CONNECT agent, review the system requirements for the agent. An Internet connection is required to install and configure the agent.
