Learn about account permissions for PI Analysis Service

The account that PI Analysis Service uses requires read and write access to the PI point database (PIPOINT) on each Data Archive server that the service accesses (see Configure Data Archive access). Additionally, if you save the analysis output to a PI point (recommended), then PI Analysis Service requires access permissions on the points themselves.

Note: If PI Analysis Service attempts to write to a PI point and does not have the required access, an error message appears stating: No Write Access - Secure Object.
