Ensure that all required ports are open

When a PI interface or PI client connects to a Data Archive server, the interface or client computer initiates a series of connections from an ephemeral port (arbitrarily selected by the operating system) to port 5450 of the Data Archive host computer. The interface or client will always initiate a connection to the PI Data Archive server; the server never initiates a connection.

With the assistance of your IT department, ensure that the necessary firewall ports on the Data Archive host computer are open as described in List of port requirements for Data Archive.
