Task 1: Ensure system requirements

In order to take advantage of the security improvements of Windows Integrated Security, you must be running Data Archive 3.4.380 or later in your PI deployment. Support for PI API 2018 Patch 2 for Windows Integrated Security requires PI Data Archive 3.4.380 or later. Therefore, the first step for installation or upgrade to PI API 2018 Patch 2 for Windows Integrated Security requires ensuring that your Data Archive meets this minimum requirement.

1. Check the Data Archive version number.

   1. Open a command prompt window.

   2. Go to the %PISERVER%\adm directory.

   3. Type: piversion -v at the command prompt.

2. If the version number is earlier than 3.4.380, upgrade your Data Archive server to the most recent version.
