ShowSpecLimits

  • Last UpdatedOct 10, 2025

This property is used to specify whether or not to display the specification limits in the primary chart. The specification limit indications are displayed only if the ShowSpecLimits property is set to True. This is a design-time property, and its default value is false. You cannot set this property to Null.

Specification limits apply to individual values and not the mean that is plotted for XBar charts. Showing the specification limits can cause the chart to auto‑scale so much that it is difficult to view the plotted points, especially with large sample sizes.

The following image highlights the specification limit indications with the primary chart.

Note: The chart's point colors are not updated when displaying out-of-specification values.
