View and add BOM consumption

Note: The BOM tab is available only if an MES Operations license has been installed.

A job BOM (bill of materials) represents a logical grouping of the bill of material components that are associated with a particular job. A job BOM consists of produced items and consumed items.

The BOM Consume tab is available when the job selected on the Queue tab has a job BOM associated with it. It lists the BOM positions for the selected job.

Details button

Display details for the selected job BOM position in a Details panel.

Summary/History toggle button

Toggles the grid to show the BOM consumption summary for the job (shown above) or the consumption history (shown below).

Set Lot button

Select the Set Lot button to set the default lot information for each consumed item as required.

Add button

Select the Add button to add consumption for the selected BOM position.

BOM position grid

The BOM position records for the BOM of the selected job on the Queue tab are displayed in this grid. The grid appears with the action panel by default. When the panel is closed, the grid expands and occupies the space where the panel appears.

Action panel

The contents of the action panel changes, depending on what task is currently being performed in the tab.

• If a BOM position record is selected, its details properties appear here, for viewing only.

• When setting the default lot for consumption or adding consumption, the related properties appear here.
