To verify that secure user access using AIM has been properly implemented
-
Make sure that the AVEVA License Manager service is running and that the MES Service and MES middleware services are running.
-
In a web browser, enter the URL for MES Web Portal.
-
https:// should be used for the URL to enable SSL encryption for the web communications.
-
The host name portion of the URL must be the host's fully qualified domain name.
For example:
-
https://myservername.mydomain.com/MES/
-
Or, for a local domain, https://myservername.mydomain.local/MES/

You should be prompted to login in to AIM.
-
-
Enter the username and password of an Active Directory-based OS User or OS Group MES user account.

The MES Web Portal home page should appear.

If the AIM login prompt doesn't appear, the login fails, or the MES Web Portal home page doesn't appear, stop the installation process and resolve the issue. Otherwise you won't be able to successfully finish installing the rest of the software required for the MES model-driven application content.
Note: Model Driven MES does not support Azure Active Directory authentication and users cannot sign in to Model Driven MES using Azure Active Directory (Microsoft Entra ID) accounts.
