On the Manage Packages page, select the package and then select Uninstall in the toolbar.
The Package Uninstallation page appears.
-
When the package contents have completed loading into the page, select the Uninstall button.
The package contents are uninstalled.
-
When the uninstallation is complete, select the Close button.
For package versions that will be available after version 4.0, the uninstall operation has the following behaviour: If the package being uninstalled was an update from a previous major version (e.g., from version 4.0 to 5.0) and previous-version files were copied to the backup folder C:\ProgramData\MDM_MSIBackup, the backed-up files from the previous-version package will be restored.
When uninstalling a package the shared lookups, Web API, Web API source, and shared additional files don't get removed. Manually delete the shared lookups and Web API in Enterprise Console and delete the shared additional files in Windows Explorer.
Note: For resources such as lookups, navigations, and forms that are shared by another installed package, Work Tasks might display an error message saying that the resource could not be removed. This is because it is still being used by another installed package and so is not actually an error. Resetting IIS and clearing the web browser cache after each uninstall will minimize or eliminate the appearance of these messages.
