Split item inventory

Split an inventory record to change the following properties for a quantity of an item's inventory: location, lot number, sublot number, item grade, item status, and expiry date and time. To split inventory:

  1. In the grid, select the item inventory record of the lot whose inventory is to be split.

  2. In the toolbar, select the Split button.

    The split inventory properties appear in the action panel.

  3. In the Location list, select the location of the inventory that is being assigned the new properties.

  4. In the Split Qty box, enter the inventory quantity that is being assigned the new properties.

  5. Change the lot number, sublot number, item grade, item state, and expiry date and time as needed.

  6. If you changed the lot number, select which item grade and state to assign to the new inventory record:

    • Use new lot to use the values entered in the Item Grade and Item State boxes

    • Use current lot to use the item grade and item state values of the selected inventory record (ignoring the values entered in the Item Grade and Item State boxes)

  7. Select Split.

    The inventory record for the split quantity of inventory is created.
