Automated and manual data and event capture

The MES model‑driven solution supports the following types of data and event capture:

• Automated

  Data and events are captured by automation systems and connectivity to PLCs.

• Manual

  Data and events are captured manually by plant-floor operators using a web browser‑based client application.

A model‑driven solution can use one or both of these types of data capture. How data and events will be captured determines the server architecture of the system.
