MES model-driven content is based on the integration of the following AVEVA products.
MES
MES provides the back-end database and data model for MES data that is being configured and captured. It also provides the infrastructure for integrating the MES database with the other model-driven framework components.
Work Tasks
Work Tasks serves as the main application framework for modeling operational practices that Operations, Maintenance, Inventory, and Quality personnel and resources perform. This framework is used to describe how machines, people, and applications coordinate together to ensure that operational tasks are being executed in an efficient and governed manner. Work Tasks also serves as the user interface platform providing a web-based interface. Model-driven content can be modified to adapt to each solution. Business logic can be developed as Work Tasks workflows and the UI can be developed as Work Tasks web forms.
BI Gateway
BI Gateway provides the reporting platform for operation, performance, and quality data and events using MES BI Gateway Reports.
System Platform
System Platform is used as the application platform for managing real-time data and events for the model-driven solutions. System Platform is the foundation for access to plant floor data. In addition to feeding real-time data and events to the MES layer, it provides supervisory services such as historization, alarming, and high-performance HMI.
