Configure the Work Tasks Farm and Enterprise Console site settings

When the Farm Configuration Wizard opens after the Work Tasks installation has completed, advance through the wizard to configure the farm database and Enterprise Console site settings. For detailed information about running the Farm Configuration Wizard, see the Work Tasks Administrator Guide.
One item to note are the settings on the wizard Security Settings page that are required to support MES model‑driven application content:

Select the Secure Web Sites option.

[Optional] Select the Secure Communications option to establish secured connections between the AVEVA Work Tasks services.

The port number should be the same port number used by Work Tasks Central Configuration. The default is 8001 for desktop computers and 8000 for mobile devices.

Select the SSL certificate that was configured for the System Management Server in the post-install Configurator. (This configuration is performed as part of the MES or System Platform configuration.) You can find this certificate in the Advanced Configuration dialog of the System Management Server component, as shown below.

Checking the Central Configuration and Enterprise Console Settings
To support MES model‑driven application content, there are certain requirements for the Central Configuration and Enterprise Console settings that are configured as part of completing the Farm Configuration Wizard. These

Advance through the wizard to the Edit AVEVA Work Tasks Farm Settings page.

Select the Service Settings option and click Next.

On the Services/Global Settings page, select Custom settings and then click the Central Configuration Edit icon.

Make a note of the port number that is being used by Central Configuration.

Click Cancel to close the Central Configuration settings.

On the Services/Global Settings page, click the Enterprise Console Edit icon.

Verify that the Enterprise Console site settings are as follows:

Use the fully qualified domain name for the host name in the Internet Path and Intranet Path fields. The fully qualified domain name is entered by default.

Select the https browser security option.

The Authentication Type can be either Windows (you will be prompted for a Windows login when opening Enterprise Console) or Anonymous (no Windows login when opening Enterprise Console).

The port number should be the same port number used by Work Tasks Central Configuration. The default is 8001 for desktop computers and 8000 for mobile devices.

Select the SSL certificate that was configured for the System Management Server.

Click Save to save any changes.

Click OK to close the Enterprise Console Settings page.

On the Services/Global Settings page, click Finish.
