Transfer inventory

Transfer inventory from its current location to another location. You can transfer some of the inventory in an item lot at a location or all of the item's inventory at a location. To transfer inventory between locations:

1. In the grid, select the item inventory record with the lot and location from which you want to transfer inventory.

2. In the toolbar, select the Transfer button.

   The transfer inventory properties appear in the action panel.

3. Select the scope of the inventory to be transferred: Selected Lot or Entire Location.

4. If you selected Selected Lot, in the Transfer Qty box, enter the quantity of the selected lot to be transferred.

   If you selected Entire Location, all of the item's inventory at the current location will be transferred, regardless of lot number.

5. Select the Destination box browse button and, in the dialog that appears, select the location to which to transfer the inventory.

6. Select Transfer.

   If there is an inventory record with the destination location and whose other property values match the inventory record you selected, the quantity of the inventory record with the destination location is updated. Otherwise, a new inventory record is added to the grid.
