The following procedure is an abridged version of the Work Tasks procedure for creating a repository for MES model-driven application content. It focuses on steps that are relative to properly configuring Work Tasks to support MES model-driven application content. For detailed configuration information, see the Work Tasks Administrator Guide.
-
Open Work Tasks Central Configuration.
-
On the main page, click the Token Service Settings link.
-
Use the Token Service Settings to register an AIM access token for the MES model-driven content (e.g., MDMToken).
-
For the Token Service URL, the AIM URL is entered by default. Verify that the URL includes the fully qualified domain name of the System Management Server node.
-
For the Registrar User, enter the domain and username of the MES administration user that was used during the MES component configuration.
-
For the Alias Name, enter a name of your choice for the token.
Note: Do not select the Configure option.

-
-
Click Register to register the token.
-
Open the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager application and make sure that the certificate bound to the website/port is the same certificate you just used during the token service registration.

-
On the Central Configuration main page, click the Diagnostic Settings link.
-
Select the Service Communications and System Management Server test options, then click Test.

-
When the test are complete, check that they all passed, as indicated by the status messages shown in the following screen shot.

If either of the tests did not pass, resolve the issue before continuing with the configuration procedure.
-
On the Central Configuration main page, click the Datasource Settings link.
-
From the Datasource List page, add the data source for the MDM repository.
-
On the Central Configuration main page, click the Repository Settings link.
-
From the Repository List page, add the MDM repository.
When creating the repository, make sure that you do the following:
-
For the Resource Provider property, select Active Directory.
-
For the Use Token Service property, select the token that you registered in step 3.
-
Clear the Enable LDAPS check box.
-
For the Domain Name, enter the domain for the users who will be logging into the Enterprise Console.
Note: Entering an Authentication User and Password is optional.

-
-
Click Test LDAP to confirm that the Resource Provider settings are properly set up to use Active Directory to access the repository.
-
Towards the bottom of the settings, select the Display Domain Name check box.

-
Click OK to save the repository settings.
The Administrator Configuration page appears, for specifying the repository administrator user.
-
Select the Search icon to the right of the User Lookup list.

The User Lookup dialog appears.
-
Enter the administrator account user name (do not include the domain) in the Search For field, select Id in the list, and select Search.
[Active Directory] appears in the Available Resources list.

-
Add the [Active Directory] entry from the Available Resources list to the Selected Resource list and select Update.
On the Administrator Configuration page, [Active Directory] is entered in the User Lookup field.
-
Select OK.
The message appears.
-
Select Close to dismiss the message.
If successful, the repository is added to the Repository List. [Active Directory] appears in the repository's System User column.

Note: If Configure Now appears in the repository's System User column, as shown above, select Configure Now and repeat adding the repository administrator user. At the conclusion of this second attempt, [Active Directory] should appear in the repository's System User column.
-
In the Repository List, select the Site Path link to open Enterprise Console.
The MES model-driven application content repository appears on the Repository page.
-
To log in to Enterprise Console, select the Active Directory link.

Note: When opening Enterprise Console, unless you already have an active AIM session, you will be prompted to log in to obtain an AIM access token.
