AVEVA™ Model Driven MES 7.0

User account to use during installation

  • Last UpdatedFeb 17, 2026
  • 1 minute read

During the installation, you must use a Windows Active Directory domain user account with the following permissions on the SQL database server:

  • Minimum dbcreator access rights on Database Server Instance

  • SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETE permissions

  • EXECUTE permission for stored procedures

This will ensure that you can successfully create the Work Tasks Farm database and the database for the MES model-driven content repository.

It is also recommended that this same Windows user account be configured as an MES admin user and the Work Tasks repository admin user. This will simplify your user security model and allow you to use the same user account to access the Work Tasks, the Work Tasks repository database for the MES model-driven content, and the MES middleware.

Note: Model Driven MES does not support Azure Active Directory authentication and users cannot sign in to Model Driven MES using Azure Active Directory (Microsoft Entra ID) accounts.
