Receive inventory

Add inventory to a new or existing inventory record. To receive inventory:

1. In the grid, select an inventory record.

   • If you are creating a new inventory record, select an existing record that includes the item.

   • If you are adding inventory to an existing record, select that record.

2. In the toolbar, select the Receive button.

   The receive inventory properties appear in the action panel.

   

3. In the Qty box, enter the item quantity being received.

4. If you are creating a new record, change the other property values as needed.

5. Select Receive.

   If you did not change any properties, the inventory record quantity is updated.

   If you changed any other properties, a new inventory record is created (unless all of the property values you entered match another existing inventory record, in which case the quantity of that inventory record is updated).
