AVEVA™ Model Driven MES 7.0

Synchronization behavior across redundant AIM nodes

Synchronization behavior across redundant AIM nodes

If an AVEVA Identity Manager (AIM) node becomes unavailable in a redundant environment, users may be unable to continue working in Model Driven MES.

This is because in a redundant AIM deployment, tokens are issued by a specific AIM node and are not synchronized across redundant nodes. If a failover occurs, the existing token cannot be refreshed or reused by the newly active AIM node.

To address this behavior, log out and then log back in to Model Driven MES. This action retrieves a new authentication token from the active AIM node.
